In search of a subject for a painting, I set off down the slope and found a path that wound its way through the cypress trees towards a blossoming acacia tree. The lilac-coloured shadows cast by the cypress trees stretched along the path at right angles, as if creating a shady entrance to the composition. In the forest, one could hear the spring songs of birds and the rustling of branches gently swaying in the light breeze.
