I really love the pre-sunset states in the hot summers in Greece. The hot humid sea air creates a haze and everything is permeated with the warm light of the golden Greek sun.
One day I came to paint yachts in the port of Vourvourou in Halkidiki. That day my study turned out to be really summery. When I finished painting on the way home from the port, I saw the golden sun shining through the olive trees, filling everything around me with amber hues. I remembered this feeling and soon transferred it to the canvas.
