Autumn in Greece is a particularly beautiful time! The sun's rays are tender, the shade is noticeably cooler and the scent of the autumn forest mingles pleasantly with the salty sea breeze. I took my compact pochade box with me on a walk and painted a miniature etude in the sycamore forest in Platanitsi (Halkidiki, Greece), whose shores overlook the holy Mount Athos.
