I went to paint one very impressive place. I took a lightweight travel box with me and climbed the rocks. Spectacular powerful masses of rocks against the backdrop of the turquoise sea and Mount Athos. However, in the study I will try to paint not only the general masses of the rocks, but I also want to convey the uniqueness of their forms, warm reflections in the shadows and cold reflections from the sky. My knowledge that I received at the Academy of Painting helped me quickly grasp general masses and forms.
The eternity of these stone giants is complemented by the ever-changing beauty of spring greenery and wildflowers of different shades.
I called my painting "Spring in Kriaritsi".
